Interbranch Grand Speech Competition 2025

The Interbranch Grand Speech Competition is Speech Academy Asia’s largest and most anticipated annual public speaking event. It is designed to give our students a grand stage to showcase their growth, skills, and unique talents.

Hosted exclusively for our existing students aged 6 to 16, this event brings together young speakers across Singapore, Brunei, and Indonesia, uniting them in a celebration of confidence and communication excellence.

This year, the competition was proudly held at NTU One-North, the perfect setting for a day filled with learning, inspiration, and heartfelt moments.

A Tradition of Excellence

Now in its 13th year, the Interbranch Grand Speech Competition continues to be a transformative experience for our students.

Months of preparation culminate in brave performances as participants took the stage to deliver speeches on a wide range of meaningful and creative topics. With each child bringing their own perspective and voice, the event was filled with originality, spirit, and discovery.

This year’s competition was an excellent opportunity for our children to demonstrate their:

• Hard work and perseverance
• Mastery of public speaking techniques
• Personal growth and confidence
• Creativity and critical thinking
• Passion for sharing ideas with purpose

Whether they were first time speakers or returning competitors, every participant demonstrated courage, proving that communication is truly a lifelong skill.

A Step Up from Previous Years

This year’s Interbranch Grand Speech Competition left our judges and audience truly amazed. The standard of performance across all categories was noticeably higher than in previous years, with students demonstrating stronger stage presence, clearer delivery, refined techniques, and a greater sense of confidence.

Our esteemed judging panel, Mr Lukas Seet, Ms Marilyn Tay, and Guest of Honour MP Hamid Razak, were impressed by the depth of thought, creativity, and courage shown by every speaker. Many shared that this year’s cohort displayed maturity and communication skills well beyond their age.

This shows that our students are not only progressing in their public speaking abilities, but also developing essential life skills that will guide them far beyond the classroom. Their growth is a testament to their hard work, the support from parents, and the dedication of our trainers who continue to inspire them to perform at their very best.

Competition Categories

To ensure a fair and engaging competition, students took part in three categories based on their age group.

Category A

For our youngest speakers aged 6 to 8 years old.
Their speeches were heartfelt, imaginative, and full of personality. Confidence truly starts young.

Category B

For students aged 9 to 12 years old.
This category highlighted developing voices refining their structure, delivery, and persuasive techniques.

Category C

For our most advanced group aged 13 to 16 years old.
Participants delivered impressive speeches that demonstrated depth, maturity, and strong communication skills.

Across all categories, the effort and improvement of every participant shone brightly.

A Celebration Beyond Winning

While awards and placings added to the excitement, the heart of the Interbranch Grand Speech Competition lay in the journey. Every rehearsal, every improvement, and every moment of courage on stage mattered more than anything else.

To all participants, whether you won or not, stepping onto the stage was an achievement in itself. Your determination and bravery are what truly matter, and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you.
